Davis Cameron Blake
Hey Everyone,I know you have all probably seen plenty of pictures of Davis already but here are a couple you may not have seen. Davis is doing well this week and is up to a nice 7 lbs. 7 oz. thanks to his beautiful mother.
I have tried to get him to start holding a ball, but that hasn't quite worked yet. (although he does roll/throw the ball well off his body when I set it near his hands :) ) The thing we love the most though is the faces he makes. Our favorite is the face that looks like the one Ben Stiller does in Zoolander. He also gives really mean looks with his eye brows when we wake him up for feedings.
Mom has been a star helping us in our time of need this past week and is learning to cope with not so much on her plate. Last week, she even slept in past 8 a.m. for the first time in who knows how many years. We really have appreciated her help and advice. Dad has been down on the weekends with Emily to help as well. When Davis first came out we thought he was "D.B" Jr. We can't tell who he looks like most and Mom changes daily whether he is a "Ballard baby" or looks like his dad.
We are just happy he is healthy and with any luck, he will look more like his mom.We are enjoying being parents and are excited for most of you to meet Davis at the family trip at the Lawerence Welk Center next week!
